Game Jam Dev Log: A Collaborative Journey
I recently participated in an exhilarating game jam where our team of six strangers came together to create something amazing in just a few days. Our project was built using Unity and C#, with LootLocker integrated into the leaderboard system.
The Team
We met at the event and immediately started brainstorming. Our team was composed of:
- 2 talented artists who brought our game world to life with stunning assets and visuals.
- 3 dedicated programmers, including myself, who focused on coding, mechanics, and making sure everything ran smoothly.
- 1 creative game designer, who laid the foundation for our game concept and developed the core ideas that drove our project.
My Role
As one of the programmers, I was deeply involved in implementing gameplay mechanics, integrating the leaderboard system with LootLocker, and ensuring that our game was both fun and functional. Collaborating with such a diverse group of talented individuals was a fantastic learning experience, and seeing our ideas come to life was incredibly rewarding.
The Outcome
Despite the time constraints, we managed to create a game that we’re all proud of. Working with a team of people who were just as passionate about game development as I am was inspiring, and I’m excited to take the lessons learned from this experience into future projects.
